story

With seventy-two days remaining on a return haul of alien bio-materials, the ranking Special Agent for the freighter Lorax is woken from hibernation and led to an escape hatch. Hidden in the staging area, within a rack of  jump suits, is the  lifeless body of one Lt. Prideaux. The door to the staging area is in working order, but the console flashes a warning in soft orange: FAULT 459.

Most of the crew remains in hibernation, but eight people, ranging from the captain, the doctor on call and the skeleton crew’s chef, were awake during the murder. The success of the hundred billion dollar mission rests on the shoulders of Special Agent Ciro Brass.

Upon solving this case, the Special Agent will have other cases across the ecosystem. He will be a multi-chain Hercule Poirot, with the stakes of the crimes growing increasingly larger.

Mechanics

Over the course of eight days, the last eight chapters of the mystery will be revealed. Each one will step us closer to the truth. In order to participate, players can buy tokenized, ERC1155 guesses for each of eight suspects. The price of the guesses will increase as every chapter is released. To start, the first chapter will be available up until the sequential chapter launch begins.

Rewards

A snapshot will be taken prior to reveal, at which point, there will be a batch of winners: those holding the correct ERC1155 guess. The prize pot will be comprised of the mint fees paid for guesses  and any royalties from secondary sales. The guess ERC1155 will be deployed on the Base blockchain. In sum, the development team will keep 25%, and the remaining 75% will be split amongst the correct guess holders.

Trust

The game requires one trust: the mind of the author. The solution to the puzzle will be off chain, and will be known to only one person before the snapshot is taken and the final chapter is released. It will be hashed and posted to Twitter prior to any chapter of the mystery being released, to prove consistency.
